Maheck Chahal shifted to Goa a few months ago. The actress was suffering from anxiety issues due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic and she felt it was best to move to Goa. Maheck says, “I needed to get out and breathe some fresh air. Goa seemed ideal for me. I felt it was better to move out of Mumbai as I was really scared of the virus and I wanted to live in a place where I could relax and also focus on my fitness.”

The actress adds how she was not able to follow any fitness routine and had put on weight in Mumbai. She says, “I was scared of going to the gym and working out, so I mainly stayed indoors. I had put on a lot of weight during the lockdown and wanted to get fitter. In Goa, I feel better and have been indulging in outdoor activities like cycling and swimming. Meditation and yoga have also helped me stay calmer and all this prep was important for my next project, too.”

Maheck will be seen in Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 in the upcoming season and she will be leaving for Cape Town soon. She says, "Now I am fitter and in a position to participate in an adventure-based reality show. It is a bit scary to travel in these times, but they are taking all the precautions. We will maintain six feet distance from the host Rohit Shetty and not eat outside at all. I believe the show must go on and in the pandemic, TV shows have continued shooting and films have released."

On the personal front, the actress is currently single. She was in a relationship with actor Ashmit Patel but they broke up in early 2020. Maheck said, “I am single and soon after my breakup, we were hit by the pandemic. So how will you meet people or date anyone? I was also scared to explore a relationship during the lockdown. I believe that if it is meant to happen I will find someone, but I don't feel that a boyfriend is mandatory in your life.”

Maheck refuses to comment on the breakup with Ashmit. She says, “I don’t want to speak about the past. Sometimes situations change and mindsets don't match even after living together for years. I don’t want to comment on my past relationship, but let’s say Ashmit was not the right person for me.”
