GODZILLA VS. KONG saw a drop in collections in the second weekend which
was going to happen due to such a heavy ratio of business from the
South. The South numbers normally drop off faster and this week saw a
few new releases in South also. The Hindi markets were pretty steady
showing a 60% apprx drop from last week but business here is minimal.
The film collected around 6.25 crore nett in its second weekend taking
the overall total to 46 crore nett. There was not much growth over the
weekend as Friday was a holiday for Good Friday and collections
maintained very well on that day. The film will comfortably cross the 50
crore nett mark which will be the best performance in India from a
GODZILLA or KONG film.
Cinemas will shut in Maharashtra from today and that will mean a bigger
than normal drop on Monday but overall this closure will cost GODZILLA VS. KONG under 1 crore nett as Maharashtra was not contributing like it
should anyway.
The collections of GODZILLA VS. KONG in India till date
are as follows.
First Week - 39,76,00,000
Friday - 2,00,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 1,75,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 2,50,00,000 apprx
Second Weekend - 6,25,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 46,01,00,000 apprx
