Shweta Pandit, who flew to India with her daughter Izana a few months ago, has her hands full. On the one hand, her daughter, who was born in February last year, takes up her time, and on the other, she has her music practice to contend with. She says that Izana seems to enjoy listening to her music session. “She enjoys the notes of the raag,” says Shweta. The singer, who tied the knot with film producer Ivano Fucci in 2016, usually shuttles between Mumbai and Italy. However, owing to the pandemic, she stayed in Florence last year.
Shweta says, “My daughter was born in Florence, and since then, I have been travelling with her. After her birth, we went to the Amalfi Coast, which is one of the most beautiful places in the world. We came to India when she was just six months old. I have travelled a lot and had seen how kids could get cranky on a flight, so I was scared, but she was fine and she slept through a large part of it and was excited to see outside the window.”
At the moment, Shweta is enjoying ghar ka khaana in Mumbai. Shweta adds, “Izana has been in India for a while now and she loves the food here. I am happy that she’s adjusted well to both the cultures and the food. I’m looking forward to my husband being back after he finishes his work in Italy.”
