GODZILLA VS. KONG showed good growth on Saturday with collections in the
6 crore nett range which takes it four day total to around 22 crore
nett. The film is still fetching most of its collections from the South
but from 70% on day one the ratio is now around 60% from the South.
The film has seen excellent growth in Delhi NCR and Mumbai on Saturday
but the collections remain low and it looks like Mumbai circuit will not
get a day where the film collects 1 crore nett and this is despite the
film being liked.
There were drops in business in Tamil Nadu and Nizam Andhra on Friday
especially Nizam/Andra but have gone up on Saturday though not as much
as Mumbai and Delhi. Bengaluru is lagging for the film and this is a
very good centre for Hollywood film. It has managed to jump well on
Saturday but overall business is not what it should be and this is due
to the Coronavirus pandemic.
The film will be heading for a 28-30 crore nett weekend which is an
excellent number but the problem is that a liked film doing such low
number across Hindi circuits means that Hindi film release schedule will
go out of the window.
