WONDER WOMAN 1984 did pretty good business in paid previews on Wednesday
as it collected 75 lakhs nett. This is probably the best result
since the reopening of cinemas in October. TENET recorded day one
numbers of 1.15 crore nett a few weeks back but that was a full day
WONDER WOMAN 1984 had shows post 5 pm only and even here Maharashtra has
night curfew which means screenings have to finish by 10 pm leading to
limited screenings in Maharashtra. The screenings today will go up four
fold which should mean a strong improvement in collections in Mumbai and
Pune.
The collections should improve all over as today is the first full day
of the film and if a film does almost 1 crore nett in paid previews then
it is not much to expect a 2 crore nett plus first full day which would
be a good result but in these times you cant be sure that 2 crore nett
plus will happen. Many cinemas (multiplexes and singles) still remain
shut across the country especially in the Hindi belts.
