Late on Wednesday, news started trickling out that Salman Khan’s driver, Ashok, and two of his cooks had tested positive for Coronavirus. Following that, the actor was said to have isolated himself. The reports whipped up a lot of anxiety among Salman’s fans who were concerned for the health of the actor and his family. Soon after, speculations were rife that he would not be shooting for this weekend’s episode of Bigg Boss.

However, when Mirror reached out to those close to the actor, we were informed that he is perfectly fine and was showing no symptoms of the dreaded virus. Later in the day, his Covid test reports reiterated this, as Salman tested negative. His family members, too, took precautionary Covid tests, and none of them showed up positive.

“The staff members, who are showing very mild symptoms, have been admitted to a city hospital. Their treatment is being taken care of by Salman. He was not in immediate contact with either the driver or his cooks, but was anxious for a few days. However, he has shown no symptoms for over the last seven days and so, is all geared up for the Bigg Boss shoot today at Film City Studio,” the source told Mirror.

The actor and his team will be following additional safety measures and will stay within a strict bio-bubble on the set with zero interactions with the crew of the reality show. “Salman will only be surrounded by his personal team, masked and equipped with sanitisation products,” added the source.

Buzz is, over 50 per cent of the Bigg Boss crew tested positive last week. However, the channel, Colors, has denied this, stating that all crew members have been tested and they are all well.

Meanwhile, Salman’s next, the Mahesh Manjrekar directed Antim, went on the floors on Sunday with Aayush Sharma shooting a chase sequence on the streets of Pune. The team has now shifted base to Karjat. Salman will join them during the Mumbai schedule. An official adaptation of Marathi hit, Mulshi Pattern, the crime drama features Salman as a cop pursuing Aayush, who plays a dreaded gangster.
