Actor John Abraham will break the jinx of no big-ticket film being shot in Lucknow in five months, when he commences the shoot of Satyameva Jayate 2 in the city in September.

The sequel to the 2018 film, directed by Milap Zaveri, will have John once again play a vigilante who goes on a spree of killing corrupt cops. Giving him company on screen will be Divya Khosla Kumar and Manoj Bajpayee.

Director Milap Zaveri has been in Lucknow since several days, scouting for locations, which include the outskirts of the city as well. While earlier, the film was to release on Gandhi Jayanti (October 2) 2020, the Coronavirus lockdown put a stop to the shoot and in the interim, the filmmaker reworked the script to set it in Lucknow rather than Mumbai. “When the movie gets released, I hope it will be seen as a story of India and touch the lives of all Indians,” Milap said.
