The veteran actress is upset about non-payment of dues by the makers of Hamari Bahu Silk

Actors of the TV show, Hamari Bahu Silk, continue to wait for their dues. After the lead cast, veteran actress Sarita Joshi, who was conferred the Padma Shri this year, and has played an important role on the show, has now spoken about non-payment of dues.
Joshi said, “I am a senior citizen and I live alone. I have been working since I was eight years old, but that does not mean that I will let go of my hard-earned money. It has been over seven months now and despite CINTAA (Cine And TV Artistes' Association) and the producers’ guild taking up our issue, there has been no solution. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, I have decided not to work for a few months, but I need the money to continue with my daily life.”
She added, “I have never considered my age a reason to slow down. In the contract, it is mentioned 10 hours, but sometimes I used to work 12-15 hours because they had to finish their episodes. This has never happened to me in the past and therefore, I strongly urge the associations and the channel to look into the matter.”
