With over two months in the lockdown, Vaani Kapoor is missing the the pre-pandemic world, and is “hopeful and optimistic” that we will overcome the Coronavirus crisis soon. “I don’t enjoy seeing so many people suffer like this. But someday, it will be history and we will conquer and move on from it,” she says.
Amid the buzz that her film Shamshera, co-starring Ranbir Kapoor, may go for a streaming platform release, she clarifies, “The makers will release it in theatres as Shamshera is a total big-screen experience.” But considering the formidable medium that OTT has become, will she consider doing digital projects? Kapoor, 31, says, “I’m always open to good work. But as of now, my focus is on doing films for the big screen, and getting to work with the finest directors and filmmakers.”
Ask her if the post-lockdown protocols make her scared, and she shares, “More than being fearful, one will just have to be extra cautious and take preventive measures. I can’t wait to be on the set again.”
