Marathi actor Akshay Waghmare and Arun Gawli’s daughter Yogita Gawli tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at Mumbai’s Dagdi Chawl on Friday afternoon. In attendance at the ceremony were the couple’s family members, including Yogita’s father, who is currently out on parole.

Akshay shares, “We are happy to have tied the knot amidst the people we love. We followed all social distancing norms during the wedding. Yogita and I took off our masks only during the rituals.”

The couple has put their celebration plans on hold due to the Coronavirus pandemic, but when the situation is better, they plan to host a grand reception.
