A prayer meet was held yesterday at Neetu and Rishi Kapoor’s Bandra residence. The actor passed away on the morning of April 30, after a two-year battle with leukaemia. Along with Neetu and Ranbir, the late actor’s daughter, Riddhima, was also present.

Riddhima, who couldn’t attend her father’s final rites owing to travel restrictions, reached Mumbai on Saturday evening after seeking special permission from the authorities to travel from Delhi by road.

Given the lockdown, the Kapoors ensured that the prayer meet was restricted only to members of the family, apart from Ayan Mukerji and Alia Bhatt. Rishi Kapoor’s elder brother Randhir Kapoor told us, “The Rasam Pagri puja was held on Saturday. Yesterday, his ashes were immersed in Banganga, followed by a quiet prayer service with family at his home.”
