Richa Chadha who has always been vocal about the welfare of animals, recently took to social media to share a video of her feeding stray cats. At a time of the ongoing health crisis, Chadha believes that animals on the streets are the ones bearing the brunt. “It’s not like they’ve a committee that puts forth their demands and informs us of their problems. They obviously aren’t getting the food which they otherwise would’ve because of human activity,” she says.

Reports suggest that many are giving up on their pets out of fear that they may contract Coronavirus. Sharing her thoughts on the same, the actor says, “Those people are cruel and ignorant. Pets are not known to get infected or be carriers of the virus. I can’t imagine abandoning a pet in any circumstances. They’d be so confused because one day they’re loved and the other day, just thrown on street.”

Talking about Quarantina, a character that Chadha created as part of her Instagram videos, the actor says,“I created the character for fun. She reads absurd and satirical news. I’m doing this so that people actually smile and don’t get too anxious.”
