About three weeks ago actor Purab Kohli, 41, currently in the United Kingdom, spoke to doctors and realised that he and his family members have contracted Coronavirus, and were advised quarantine.

Talking about it, he says, “My daughter had cough, cold and my wife got it, too. Later, I was infected as well. But when my son got a sudden fever of 104 degrees, lasting four days, it made us concerned. Later, we learnt that my daughter’s classmate’s mum was unwell too. She might have picked it up from them.”

Kohli believes that it is important for people to know about recovery. “The focus is on the number of infected people and deaths. It does get scary to know that you have something that is killing so many people. One should be wary but try not to panic. One should stay calm and meditate. I shared my experience to help people know that your body is strong enough to fight it,” the actor says.

Lashing on those shaming Corona patients, Kohli adds, “This virus is an equaliser and doesn’t differentiate. Shaming or abusing someone for it is not done. Doctors, nurses and many others are our heroes.”
