Bollywood’s dancing diva Madhuri Dixit Nene has taken a lead to help people relieve stress and also learn something new during the Coronavirus lockdown. On the occasion of International Dance Day tomorrow, the actress will hold a two-day (April 29 and 30) online dance festival to promote art and culture.

Madhuri tells us, “During these uncertain times, we must all engage in activities that help relieve stress and anxiety. And, there’s nothing better than dance to do that. Not only does it cheer you up, but it is also a great way to stay fit. That is why in light of this lockdown, we have been organising dance workshops since the beginning of this month and now, this two-day online dance festival.”

The dance fest, which also comprises workout sessions and masterclass, will be held live online. The highlight of the event will be a special dance class featuring choreographer Saroj Khan and the legendary Kathak exponent, Pt Birju Maharaj.

The actress will perform to a mash-up of her hit songs like Ek Do Teen, Tamma Tamma, Ghagra and Aaja Nachle. There will also be a dance masterclass and interaction with Madhuri and choreographers Saroj Khan and Farah Khan. The fest will give viewers a chance to learn various forms of exercise and dance like Hip Hop, Indian classical, Masala Bhangra, and contemporary dance from their homes.
