PANGA had a dull first week as it collected 16.50 crore nett in week one and this figure is 10 crore less than CHHAPAAK which itself had a poor number. The film was struggling from the start though got huge growth on day two as there was help from the media coupled with a very low first day which enabled the growth. But eventually the public word of mouth would come out and that is what happened on Sunday as it could not really consolidate the growth.
There was a chance of respectability if the film could have improved its Friday collections on Monday by around 20-25% but it fell around 40% which meant lights out. The weekdays continued to drop by small amounts and now the task is probably to get over the 25 crore nett mark as even a 30 crore nett total looks impossible even with the weak competition. Now that is really asking for trouble as you don't have an audience anyway and you think the wider audience is mad to watch your poor cinema over the bigger films.
The collections of PANGA till date are as follows.
Friday - 2,00,00,000
Saturday - 4,25,00,000
Sunday - 5,50,00,000 apprx
Monday - 1,25,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 1,20,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 1,20,00,000 apprx
Thursday - 1,10,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 16,50,00,000 apprx
