On Monday, Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan kicked off the final schedule of Ayan Mukerji’s action-fantasy-adventure, Brahmastra, at a Mumbai studio with a massive set-up and a green screen. According to a source close to the development, the team has recreated parts of Himachal Pradesh in the city, with an ancient Shiva temple as one of the main attractions. “Shiva (Ranbir) and his guru (Sr Bachchan) are shooting for some pivotal scenes that are rooted in Indian mythology. Most of the scenes in the film will be enhanced with visual effects,” the source added.Work on the final leg of the film starts as early as 6 am. Alia Bhatt, who plays Ranbir’s love interest, Isha, is expected to join the cast of this Karan Johar trilogy shortly. “On Tuesday, the team completed 170 days of shoot. The film should wrap up in another 20 days,” informed the source.
Bachchan kicked off work on the film by heaping praise on RK. “On the sets with the one I admire and adore… one of the finest… I need the four chairs to match up to his incredible talent,” the Big B noted alongside a picture (far right) from the sets.
