Chhapaak Box Office Collection Day 1: Deepika Padukone's Film Gets 'Ordinary' Start, Earns Rs 4 Crore
Box Office India Trade Network

CHHAPAAK showed growth of 45% on its second day which will probably not be good enough and on top of that, most of this growth has come from Mumbai circuit which was very low on day one. The film has jumped around 75-80% in Mumbai circuit but the rest are in that 30-40% range. The day two business is around 6.50 crore nett for a total of 11 crore nett which is low for this film.

The Mumbai growth has come as day one was too low for these type of film maybe because of TANHAJI: THE UNSUNG WARRIOR. Mumbai and Delhi/UP had almost similar collections on day one but on day two, Mumbai has raced ahead. The only circuit which can be called decent is West Bengal which is actually not that far less from the numbers of TANHAJI: THE UNSUNG WARRIOR.

The film will struggle in the long run as Saturday growth should have been much more. The only plus can be the Lohri/Makar Sankranti factor on the weekdays but that wont be enough to change the fate of the film.

The collections of CHHAPAAK till date are as follows.
Friday - 4,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 6,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 11,00,00,000 apprx
