PANIPAT collected 6 crore nett apprx on day two which is a poor number. There is 50% growth which is good for a historical film like this but it hardly means anything as the opening was so low. The growth of the film is more than a multiplex film like PATI PATNI AUR WOH on a Saturday but the fact remains it is doing half the business of that film despite being a much bigger film in terms of cost and scale.

The film had to really double up on Saturday and even then the collections would not be that good but at least then you know the film is likely to sustain over time. Now the film has 10 crore nett in two days and Sunday has to really push hard for the film to reach even 20 crore nett for the weekend.

The film has problems outside Maharashtra where there the film is lacking appreciation and an audience and its mainly about were Maharashtra and the surrounding areas can take the film and whether they can help it sustain a little on the weekdays as in the North the film looks likely to be out in a week.

PANIPAT had a poor first weekend of 17.50 crore nett and although the film did see weekend growth which is actually good for a war period film, it does not help much as the starting point is so low. So despite the film growing well on Saturday and Sunday, the occupancy was still low on the best day Sunday.

The film has done a better in Mumbai circuit and Nizam/Andhra with Mumbai collecting around 8 crore nett and Nizam/Andhra collecting a little less than 1.50 crore nett but despite being better these circuits cant be called good. The weekend collections are less than PAGALPANTI which is the biggest flop of the year so far.

The film may be able to hold better than PAGALPANTI over the weekdays as the weekend trend was better but it has to better the first day number to have a respectable lifetime total and that is probably asking for too much.

PANIPAT collected just 2.50 crore nett on Monday. The drop is 40% from Friday which normally is a solid trend but there were dull weekend collections and the film had to do the Friday number on Monday for some respectability.

The film has collected just 20 crore nett so far in four days which is very poor and the first week will probably finish in the 26-27 crore nett range. The pattern of the film is 50% of the business of PATI PATNI AUR WOH and its holding to that till now. There were some issues in Rajasthan where some cinemas had to shut due to some protests which could have led to damage to properties but the loss there would be just a few lakhs.

The film is a big flop and may possibly be the biggest of flop of the year if lifetime collection  stay below PAGALPANTI.
