While speaking to Mirror earlier (July 11) Ahmed Khan had informed that the third instalment of the Baaghi franchise would up the action ante with leading man Tiger Shroff crossing “all limits this time”. Now, we have learnt that the team of the Sajid Nadiadwala production began shooting for a high-octane action sequence on Tuesday with the 29-year-old actor and 400 cars.
According to a source close to the development, the sequence has Tiger taking on 40-45 goons in a car junkyard. “It took the team 15 days to get the place ready for the shoot. The scene is an important part of the narrative and has been choreographed by action directors Ram and Lakshman, and Ahmed. By the end of the scene, Tiger crushes most of the cars,” the source reveals, adding that Riteish Deshmukh, who is Tiger’s brother in the film, is playing a cop. Satish Kaushik, who had featured in Shekhar Kapur’s 1987 Anil Kapoor and Sridevi-starrer Mr India alongside Ahmed, is reuniting with the former child actor with Baaghi 3 and plays Riteish’s boss.
Riteish has previously played a cop in Aditya Sarpotdar’s 2018 Marathi action film Mauli, which was produced by his wife Genelia D’Souza.
The ongoing shoot for the action sequence in Baaghi 3 is scheduled to wrap up by Friday, after which the team heads to Serbia for a 40-day schedule in November. After the marathon schedule, the team will shoot again on home ground with two schedules, in Delhi and Agra. The film also marks Tiger’s reunion with Shraddha Kapoor, who had played the leading lady in the franchise’s first instalment in 2016.
