Their upcoming film, War, is being pitched as an action face-off between Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff, but the dancing sensations will also come together to show off their moves. Director Siddharth Anand states, “Since the inception of the film, people were speculating there would be a huge dance anthem featuring two of the best dancers of our country — Hrithik and Tiger. This has been the biggest anticipation that automatically becomes a huge pressure for the people to deliver a cracking song that would become an anthem.”

A big-budget Holi song, Jai Jai Shiv Shankar will see the duo matching steps. “Firstly, we had to get the track right — one that justifies them dancing on it together. Hrithik and Tiger have had great songs and hit numbers to their credit; since we’re bringing them together for the first time, we have all the more responsibility to deliver a track that becomes a blockbuster instantly,”

Siddharth says, adding, “I told Vishal and Shekhar (composer duo) that this is not just a song but responsibility. I think it’s the blessings of God and Hrithik and Tiger’s fans that we have been able to create a track that’s truly an anthem. You have to hear it to understand it.” The director divulges that after they got the song with uptempo beats, they couldn’t have shot it in any lesser way. The video, featuring over 500 dancers, was conceptualised by Bosco and Caesar for more than a month before it was taken to the actors.

Siddharth informs that Hrithik and Tiger rehearsed for three weeks to make it a visual spectacle. “This is a Holi song. What got me excited was its lyrics, ‘Jai jai Shiv Shankar, aaj mood hai bhayankar. When you see this song, you’ll get into a bhayankar mood to dance. You will just freak out and that is the killer part of it.”
