THE LION KING remained steady on Tuesday as it collected 7 crore nett taking the five day total to 68.75 crore nett. The first week collections look to be going to over 80 crore nett and it will become the second biggest Hollywood film India in possibly eight and definitely nine days.

The Tuesday numbers are also better than last week's SUPER 30. If we compare with SUPER 30 over the first five days, then it has beaten that film on all the day expected the first day. This has meant that it has higher collections over a five day period and a stronger trend.

THE LION KING is certain to be the fourth highest Hollywood grosser in India though its unlikely to go higher than fourth as THE JUNGLE BOOK numbers seem to be out of reach as that film was holding better on the weekdays.

THE LION KING is doing steady business on the weekdays as it recorded 6.50 crore nett business on Wednesday to hit the 75 crore nett mark. The film has done the seven day business of SUPER 30 in six days despite starting with a lower first day number and SUPER 30 was a film which worked due to its trend rather than initial. THE LION KING has an even stronger trend.

THE LION KING may well be the leading film this week as well. Even if one of the new releases manages to somehow surpass it on day one then it will for sure be the top film on Saturday and Sunday as growth will be exceptional like the first weekend.

THE LION KING will surpass all Hollywood films in India within ten days barring AVENGERS: ENDGAME, AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR and THE JUNGLE BOOK.
