The Robin Hood cop and his Rajjo now come to a Mumbai studio to take their story forward

After Maheshwar and a brief stint on the outskirts of Mumbai, Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha and the child artiste playing their son will begin filming the third schedule of their cop-drama, Dabangg 3, at Mehboob Studio from June 15. “The set designers have erected a bungalow with a balcony facing a lake in the studio. Unlike the two previous instalments which were high on action and drama, Part 3 has a strong family angle taking the story forward,” revealed a source, adding that around 30 per cent of the film will be shot on this set.

Mirror had earlier reported (April 2) that Dabangg 3 follows a non-linear story telling pattern, jumping between Chulbul Pandey’s past and present, showing his transition from a neighbourhood rowdy to a Robin Hood cop. During this stint, Salman will also groove to the tunes of Sajid-Wajid’s “Munna Badnaam Hua” with an actress he was romancing before meeting Rajjo. Speculations are rife that the makers have roped in Mouni Roy for the role.

Kannada actor, Sudeep, who plays the antagonist has already filmed a shirt-less action scene for the climax and expected to join the team again in July. The film, which marks the reunion of Salman and Prabhudheva a decade after Wanted, is gearing up for a Christmas 2019 release.
