So far, a number of his films have been dubbed in Tamil and Telugu for their release down South. Now, Shah Rukh Khan seems all set to make his South  Indian debut. After Hrs had first reported that the Zero actor had been approached for a cameo in Mersal director Atlee Kumar’s next, Thalapathy 63, starring Vijay and Nayanthara.

However, it turns out that the part is more than just a cameo. Reportedly, unlike the special appearances he has done in some films so far, this time around, it’s a prominent role, that of the main antagonist. It is being said that this character appears in the movie only towards the end. What’s more, SRK’s 15-minute long role is also action-packed as it marks the film’s climax, of him fighting Vijay.

Apparently, for Thalapathy 63, the makers wanted a Hindi film star for the part. Atlee, who had been talking to SRK for a Bollywood version of Mersal (2017), managed to get his nod to play the baddie. Though he has supposedly agreed in principle, it remains to be seen if Shah Rukh eventually signs up for it.
