JUNGLEE had low collections in the first week of around 20 crore nett but it managed to hold pretty well on the weekdays but it needs to continue the weekdays trend into the second week to get respectable figures. If the film could get over the 30 crore nett mark it would be a fair result for the film.
The film has fared better in places like Bihar and CP Berar which have traditionally done better with films with animals in it. The figures are weak in Delhi and Punjab and its not only because of KESARI but this content also struggles in these areas. The film fetched a good 24 crore from satellite and digital and so a 15-16 crore theatrical share will take it very close to recovery.
The other release NOTEBOOK is a disaster as it collected around 4.25 crore nett in its first week. This film was also steady on the weekdays but that is because it hardly had any weekend collections. It will be lucky to finish with a 5 crore nett total from here on.
