Recently, Rani Mukerji was seen in the middle of an intense shooting schedule for her next, Mardaani 2. The scene, which saw the actress hit the streets of the city at night, featured her conducting a gripping investigation. The movie has generated buzz since its announcement and every picture is further piquing the curiosity of cinegoers.

In Mardaani (2014), Rani took on the kingpin of a child trafficking racket. In the sequel, she will reprise her role of Shivani Shivaji Roy. This time, she will be seen as the Superintendent of Police, who is locked in a vicious battle with a 21-year-old merciless villain. This will be Rani’s next release after Hichki (2018).

Mardaani 2, which is being produced by Aditya Chopra, marks the directorial debut of Gopi Puthran, the writer of Mardaani.
