SONCHIRIYA is a disaster as it is a mainly a metro multiplex film but it failed to grow on Saturday. The film may have a heartland base but has no audience there. The collections were mainly from the major multiplexes on day one and these did not grow on day two when growth is best in these on the second day.

SONCHIRIYA is a disaster with collections of 3.50 crore nett over the first weekend. There was no growth on Saturday when this film is for the high end multiplexes which collect best on Saturday. There are reports that the artists are not happy with the size of the release but actually the release is far too big for this type of film. It should actually just release on 200 odd multiplexes. When a film practically has no audience then more screens will make no difference. Collections come with footfalls not extra screens.
