EK LADKI KO DEKHA TOH AISA LAGA has remained poor at the box office. There was 40% growth on Saturday which can be regarded good for some films but for this film which did not open and the bulk of the business coming from multiplexes which have the best growth on Saturday, it is a bad result. The collections on Saturday were 4 crore nett giving it a two day total of 6.75 crore nett. The subject matter of the film has been rejected outright which is no surprise.

EK LADKI KO DEKHA TOH AISA LAGA was a poor fare at the box office as it collected 11.25 crore nett in 3 days. The film opened poorly and did not grow as it should at the high end multiplexes on Saturday which were the only theaters it had a chance in.  The collections on Sunday were pretty much flat as families were never going to be interested in this sort of content even though from one angle you can call it a family film.

The film has faced rejection and the Monday collections will show that. It also completed a hat-trick of flops for Vinod Chopra Films and Anil Kapoor  with PARINDA, 1942 - A LOVE STORY and now EK LADKI KO DEKHA TOH AISA LAGA with this one being the worst of the lot because at least the first two did decent in Mumbai and parts of South. It took 30 years to complete this unwanted hay-trick.

The banner Vinod Chopra Films has one phenomenal record. It has been around for around for 33 years and is yet to deliver a HIT when Rajkumar Hirani is not associated with the film. The only winner with this film is also Rajkumar Hirani who had his name taken out as a co - producer for this film even though the reason is a matter you don't really want to be involved in.

EK LADKI KO DEKHA TOH AISA LAGA sealed its fate on Monday as collections went down to 1.50 crore nett. The drop is far too much for a film that did not open and occupancy is too low for it to stand any chance. These types really have to be close to first day collections on Monday to have a chance of really working. The fate of the film is not surprising due to the theme of the film and even before release it was on the cards.

The film has now collected 13 crore nett in the first week and will probably go to 17 crore nett in the first week. This means the first week business will be lower than films like THE ACCIDENTAL PRIME MINISTER and THACKERAY and it is possible that the lifetime will also be less than a film like THE ACCIDENTAL PRIME MINISTER.

Delhi/UP will probably be the best circuit for the film but lifetime will be just 5 crore nett.
