Emraan Hashmi's Cheat India Is Now Why Cheat India Because, Censor Board

WHY CHEAT INDIA had a poor first week as it collected 8.50 crore nett and is the worst performing Emraan Hashmi film in the last 10 years barring Rush in 2012. The film had a poor start and limited growth over the weekend and it fell flat on the Monday.

The way this film has gone over the weekdays it is unlikely that it will cross the 10 crore nett mark as it has very few screenings in the second week. URI is on a magical run and MANIKARNIKA and THACKERAY are major releases.

The other releases of last week like BOMBAIRIYA, FRAUD SAIYAAN and RANGEELA RAJA were washouts with FRAUD SAIYAAN being the best of this poor lot. RANGEELA RAJA saw the team of Govinda and Pahlaj Nihalani who had collaborated on some hugely successful films before like ILZAAM (1986), SHOLA AUR SHABNAM (1992) and AANKHEN (1993) but obviously things have changed since those days.
