THACKERAY did not do well on its first weekend with collections of 10.50 crore nett in Hindi. The bulk of the collections were from Maharashtra though even there they cannot be called good. The business was poor in North and Eastern belts while cities in Maharashtra which fall in the CP Berar and Nizam circuits were average.

The Hindi version of the film is unlikely to do well and the Marathi version should sustain as it has maintained high level of collections over the weekend. The collections of Thackeray (Hindi) are as follows.
Friday - 2,75,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 4,50,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 3,25,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 10,50,00,000 apprx

The Marathi version of the film did very well as it picked up collections in the range of 2.5-3 crore nett on each day. This version hardly saw any growth on the big national holiday as day one was so strong. The collections on day three were similar to day one. The weekend business for this version is around 8-8.25 crore nett.
