MANIKARNIKA - THE QUEEN OF JHANSI (Hindi) had a fair Monday as it grossed around 4.50 crore nett which is a 40% drop from the first day. The hold is reasonable but the collections are on the lower side as the first day was below the mark.

The film has managed to do decent business at the box office till date thanks to the big national holiday. The problem for the film is more that the appreciation is limited and eventually that will tell on the collections at some point. The film was doing better in the North over the weekend but on Monday there are cracks in the cities of Punjab and many cinemas of Delhi city while UP was rock steady. Gujarat saw collections at a very low level.

The advantage of the film is that it does not have much competition over the next two weeks which should help but it will only be to a certain extent.

Saturday - 17,75,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 14,75,00,000 apprx
Monday - 4,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 44,75,00,000 apprx

It will be that Thursday to Friday fall that will be crucial to this film as if it is too big then it will be hard for the film to recover. The Tamil and Telugu versions will hardly run for one week.
