The Hindi remake of the Telugu hit Arjun Reddy (2017) is called Kabir Singh and it features Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani in the lead. Taking a break from her usual glamorous image, Kiara has gone de-glam for the new role. The original movie featured the lead heroine as a medical student and to play the role of Preethi, the actress has opted for a simple yet beautiful avatar.

Her first look from of the movie features Kiara in a white salwar kameez with a neatly tied-up pony tail. The actress, who has featured in glamorous roles in M S Dhoni - The Untold Story and Machine, is looking forward to the change in her on-screen image for this gritty and intense film. The story of Kabir Singh, like the Telugu original, will be based in the world of medical colleges and doctors.
