The team of Abhishek Varman’s period-drama Kalank, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur, Madhuri Dixit and Kunal Kemmu, are heading to Hyderabad today. It’s a long schedule and they are only expected to complete it towards the year-end.

According to a source, a lavishly-mounted set has been erected at Ramoji Film City whose old-world architecture is just the setting they were looking for. “Back in Mumbai, the actors have been attending workshops for the past few days as part of their prep. Varun who will be shooting a lot of action sequences, has been training extra hours and working on his physique to be in perfect shape,” informs the source, adding that after a short New Year’s break, the team will start gearing up for the final schedule. “But Abhishek has yet to decide which city it will be shot in. The team is looking to wrap up the film by January end.”

Kalank kicked off in April and has progressed with long schedules in Indore, Kargil and Mumbai. It also features Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha. Kriti Sanon and Kiara Advani also make special appearances in songs with Varun.
