2.0 (Hindi) has done business of 137.50 crore nett in eight days and has become the highest NETT grosser for Akshay Kumar as it beat the 132 crore nett of TOILET - EK PREM KATHA. It still has a little bit to cover in terms of GROSS as ROWDY RATHORE grossed 180 crore and 2.0 (Hindi) stands at 176 crore. 2.0 (Hindi) should cross the 180 crore mark today.

The film held up strongly on Monday but has seen 15-20% daily drops since Monday which is on the higher side. The film is a solid HIT and the second Friday business will tell if it can get a higher status. There will be KEDARNATH for competition but 2.0 (Hindi) has a chance to lead that film in some of the circuits on Friday.

The film is on course for a certain 175 crore nett and the second Friday will tell if the film has a shot at 200 crore nett plus.

2.0 became the first film from the Tamil film industry to hit 500 crore worldwide as it collected around 380 crore gross apprx in India and 120 crore Overseas in its extended first week in all formats. This makes it the 12th highest grossing India film worldwide in all formats. It is the highest grosser from the South outside the BAAHUBALI films which were both from the Telugu film industry.

In terms of NETT collections the highest collection of all time in Tamil Nadu is BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION with 126 crore nett but the highest collection for a film from Tamil Cinema is ENTHIRAN with 102 crore nett. The collection of 2.0 is 62 crore nett apprx in eight days.

2.0 will get among the top five in Tamil Nadu but it could fall short of ENTHIRAN which is the first film of the series in terms of NETT collections which means the share will also fall short. In GROSS collections it will surpass due to GST and LBT being added in Tamil Nadu in 2017. The 100 crore nett mark could prove elusive in Tamil Nadu though worldwide the business will probably be double of ENTHIRAN.
