Box Office India Trade Network

2.0 (Hindi) had a noticeable drop on Wednesday as it dropped around 18% from the previous day but still it has put up strong first week numbers of 130 crore nett apprx. The film has sustained and for a South dubbed film it is exceptional.

The Monday hold was stronger than the rest of the weekdays but it is an extended week. The film should consolidate again over the second weekend as has found appreciation all over. Bihar is the best market followed by Delhi/UP. The lesser performance is Mumbai which maybe could have been little higher. The multiplexes could have done better in Mumbai and Pune

The film is on course for a certain 175 crore nett and the second Friday will tell if the film has a shot at 200 crore nett plus.

The first week daily collections of 2.0 (Hindi) are as follows
Thursday - 20,00,00,000 apprx
Friday - 18,00,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 24,00,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 33,25,00,000 apprx
Monday - 13,50,00,000 apprx
Tuesday - 11,50,00,000 apprx
Wednesday - 9,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 1,29,75,00,000 apprx

 -------------------------------
2.0 had GROSS of 362 crore apprx in India in seven days with the Hindi markets contributing around 47% of the all India business. This should eventually go over to around 50%. The contribution of BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION was 46% for the Hindi markets but that is because the home market of BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION (Andhra) has bigger potential than the home market of 2.0 (Tamil Nadu)

If the film is right than the Hindi markets do add to these South Indian films. Only five South Indian films have crossed 300 crore worldwide and all have been Hindi releases. Obviously the South films cant be the normal films about a youth in Hyderabad or Chennai be it action or love story genre but if the scale is bigger and does not give the feel of regionality then there is potential for business in Hindi markets.

2.0 will hit the 500 crore mark worldwide it its extended first week with figures standing at 480 crore apprx in seven days. The break down of the India GROSS business in week one is as follows.
Hindi Markets - 170 crore (including Tamil and Telugu versions playing in Hindi circuits)
Tamil Nadu - 75 crore
Nizam/Andhra - 64 crore (Not including Marathawada which is a part of this circuit for the regular Hindi film. For this film Marathawada has been put in Hindi markets).
Karnataka - 36 crore
Kerala - 17 crore
TOTAL - 362 crore

The ratios are as follows
Hindi Markets - 46.96%
Tamil Nadu - 20.72%
Nizam/Andhra - 17.68%
Karnataka - 9.94%

Kerala - 4.70%
