Both were accompanied by their partners to Shilpa Shetty’s casino-themed house party; Salman Khan turned up only at 6 am

Shilpa Shetty and her businessman husband Raj Kundra hosted a casino-themed Diwali bash on Sunday. Props were scattered around their Juhu bungalow with a huge casino table instantly catching the eye. It was surrounded by smaller card tables. Karan Johar was the early bird to the party, striding in at 10 pm, followed by R Madhavan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Preity Zinta. Guests kept trickling in till the early hours with Salman Khan rolling up only at 6 am on Monday after pack-up on the Bharat shoot. A guest from the bash revealed that Salman hung around for two hours, catching up with the hosts. He had promised Shilpa he would attend despite an all-night shoot and kept his word.

The rest of the Khan-daan, including his sisters Arpita and Alvira and brother Arbaaz had arrived much earlier. Arpita was accompanied by husband Ayush Sharma while Arbaaz made a match with his girlfriend Georgia Andriani, who stood out in a flaming red lehenga.

Love was in the air for Sushmita Sen as well, as she made a diva-like entry with current beau Roman Shawl, both twinning in black. She introduced him to friends. Preity Zinta was minus Mr Goodenough but in a happy mood, shaking a leg with Shilpa and her sister Shamita and catching up with her designer-friend Surily Goel. Popular TV faces Shabbir Ahluwalia, Anusha Dandekar, Aamir Ali with actress-wife Sanjeeda Sheikh were also among the guests.

A Hyderabadi spread was served at live counters, with biryani, kebabs and falooda holding court. The hosts had even arranged for breakfast for guests who chose to stay on till morning.
