Jacqueline Fernandez heads to Kerala for relief work

The actress is helping rebuild homes that were destroyed in August during floods in the state

On November 30, Jacqueline Fernandez is flying to Aluva, which is located in the northern suburb of the city of Kochi in Kerala, to help rebuild homes that were destroyed in August floods.
According to a source, the actress will be visiting Thuruth and Naduvannur, which are half an hour’s ride apart from each other. “During her trip, Jacqueline will also interact with the affected families and has already contributed Rs 5 lakh towards the rehabilitation work. She is also helping the relief work team mobilise funds of over Rs 50 lakh by encouraging individual donors and corporates to contribute,” the source added.
Jacqueline, when contacted, said, “It was truly heart breaking to see what the locals went through this year. The floods may be over, but its effect on the lives of hundreds and thousands of people is long-lastingit has not only affected families but also damaged homes.”
The Sri Lankan actress added that she is personally looking into the details of the relief work. “I want to help the people of Kerala rebuild their homes and recover,” she signed off.
