Remo D’souza is reuniting with his ABCD 2 hero, Varun Dhawan, for the third instalment in the franchise, in which the 31-year-old actor will be paired with Katrina Kaif for the first time. Now, Mirror has learnt that the film is scheduled to go on the floors in January in Punjab with Varun’s portions, before heading to London for an extended schedule, where the dance competition sequences will be shot. The film’s team is working on a completely new look for Varun’s character.

“The film has been titled ABC3D to highlight the 3D format of the film. Varun and Katrina, who play dancers in the film, are expected to begin training in multiple dance forms with Remo’s team shortly,” a source close to the development informs.

Punit Pathak, Raghav Juyal, Dharmesh Yelande and Prabhu Dheva, who have been part of the earlier ABCD films, are set to join the leads this time around too. According to the source, plans are also afoot to convert the film into 4DX.

The Bhushan Kumar and Lizelle D’souza production will hit theatres on November 8, 2019. “The film will be shot over two and half months and is expected to wrap up by March next year,” the source adds.

ABCD 2, which had featured Varun opposite Shraddha Kapoor, had hit the marquee in 2015, while the first film released in 2013.
