Mirror had reported earlier (September 27) that Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani, who play the leads in the yet untitled Hindi remake of Telugu hit Arjun Reddy, were working on a music video called “Urvashi” before the film. We have now learnt that the film is going on the floors this Sunday, with the team shooting at real locations across the city featuring Shahid and his onscreen group of friends.

“The shoot is starting with the second half of the story and the opening scene will see Shahid biking with his friends. For another portion of the film, that will also be shot in the city, he will be training in football for some crucial sequences,” a source associated with the project informed.

For the first schedule, Shahid has been growing his hair and beard and will be sporting four different looks throughout the film.

According to the source, Kiara, who plays his love interest Preeti, will join the shoot only in November. The Mumbai schedule wraps up by December-end, after which the team is set to move to Delhi to shoot for the first half of the film by early January.

The Telugu original, which was directed by Sandeep Vanga Reddy who is also directing its Hindi remake, is about an alcoholic surgeon grappling with anger management issues.
