Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Athiya Shetty’s next, Motichoor Chaknachoor, has gone on the floors in Bhopal. The actor started shooting since last Friday while Athiya joined him on Monday.

A source from the sets says, “It’s a romcom with some family drama and revolves around the odd couple. It will be shot entirely in Bhopal with the first schedule wrapping up on November 10. The film got its title from the fact that motichoor laddoos are served at weddings.”

Debutant director Debamitra Hassan has earlier been the creative director on the soap, Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi, and the telly comedy Lapataganj. She plans to wrap up the film by the first week of December.”

Nawaz had earlier told Mirror (September 17), “When I was doing theatre, I worked in around 50-200 comedies. Films have given me this serious, intense image so doing lighter roles is a welcome change.” Both he and Athiya have been undergoing extensive language and accent coaching for their roles.
