BADHAAI HO has done well in its extended first week with business of around 65 crore nett. The film had a good first four days which was an extended weekend and has held well over the weekdays. There was a drop on the Thursday in collections as the collections went down in North where it has been doing so well.

The film is not a STREE as that found appreciation across most circuits in India while this is more of a Delhi NCR and East Punjab film. These markets will hold well till THUGS OF HINDOSTAN but it will be Mumbai circuit in week two that will tell where this film can go. The collections in Delhi NCR and East Punjab are bigger than all films this year barring the four big grossers SANJU, PADMAAVAT, RACE 3 and BAAGHI 2.

NAMASTE ENGLAND is a disaster at the box office as it collects 7.75 crore nett in the first week and will finish up with just 8 crore nett lifetime collections. This is lower than the first weekend of NAMASTEY LONDON which did 9 crore nett plus over the weekend. The non India theatrical rights are the plus which is the case for most films as satellite, digital. music and overseas cover 53 crore and there is also a rebate from the UK to come. So despite a huge disaster the makers are safe but the ones who took the satellite, digital and overseas rights will have to pay.

BADHAAI HO held well on its second Friday to collect 3.25 crore nett and take its total to 68 crore nett. Its a good hold as collections are just 20% down from Thursday. The film is going strong in Delhi NCR and East Punjab while most other circuits are comparatively lower.

The film will not be as big as STREE or RAAZI but that always looked the case on the weekday collections. It should finish somewhere around the SONU KE TITU KI SWEETY but without Madhya Pradesh where the film lost around 3 crore nett over the first eight days.
