Actor in Ragini MMS and Phobia director Pawan Kripalani’s next

After Anurag Kashyap’s romantic triangle Manmarziyaan, also featuring Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal, Abhishek Bachchan will now be a part of a horror comedy. The actor is teaming up with the director of Ragini MMS and the Phobia series, Pawan Kripalani.

A source close to the development reveals that the film, titled Tantrik, will go on the floors next year in Mumbai. “Pawan is still finalising the other locations and is also scouting for a leading lady opposite Abhishek,” adds the source.

The actor has also given the nod to Sarvesh Mewara’s Gulab Jamun that will mark his onscreen reunion with wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan after eight years. Their last film together was Mani Ratnam’s Raavan in 2010.

Pawan had made another horror film, Darr @ The Mall featuring Jimmy Sheirgill and Nushrat Bharucha four years ago. He has admitted that he is a psycho-thriller loyalist. When contacted on Tantrik, Pawan however chose not to comment.
