Kareena Kapoor Khan, who marked her comeback to the screen after a maternity break with the Shashanka Ghosh-directed Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker, Shikha Talsania and Sumeet Vyas co-starrer Veere Di Wedding, is now set to explore a new medium. Following in filmmaker-friend Karan Johar’s footsteps, the actress is gearing up to host her own radio show, which is expected to air from December this year. She kicked off her new venture on Wednesday with a special photoshoot at a Mumbai studio.
According to a source close to the development, the 37-year-old actress discussed the idea with good friend KJo who is quite a pro at playing agony aunt on his show and he urged her to take the plunge. “Just like Calling Karan, this one too, on Ishq 104.8 FM, will give listeners a chance to interact with Kareena, who is expected to start recording for the show in the coming days,” added the source.
The actress, who recently returned from a family vacation in the Maldives, confirmed the news, saying excitedly, “I couldn’t have asked for a better start on this platform. I am doing my first radio show and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”
