Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra made an appearance together on the fourth season of Karan Johar’s popular chat show Koffee With Karan (2014). The two actresses also played Ranveer Singh’s love interests in Bajirao Mastani (2015) in which Deepika essayed the titular role of Mastani while Priyanka was Kashibai.

Though PC is almost five years DP’s senior, they have always indicated that they are ‘friendly’ with each other. So, it came as a bit of a surprise, or should that read a bit of a shock to learn that Ranveer was invited to PC and Nick Jonas’ engagement party last night, but Deepika wasn’t.

A source said, “Deepika has always been supportive of Priyanka and she would have definitely gone to wish her if she was invited. In fact, everyone knows Ranveer and DP are a couple and will walk down the altar this November. So, it’s odd that PC left Dippy’s name out of her guest list. Who does that? Why would you invite one half of a couple and leave the other one out?” Strange are the ways of Tinseltown!
