Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar doesn’t see too many films. But she did catch Janhvi Kapoor’s debut venture Dhadak. “After [Boney Kapoor] lost Sridevi ji so suddenly, his daughter’s debut is reason for him to smile. Janhvi is pretty. I’d love to sing for her,” Mankeshkar said in an IANS interview.

The singer also heaped praise on Sonam K Ahuja for continuing to work after tying the knot with businessman Anand Ahuja. “There was a time when actresses had to slow down after marriage. Thankfully, those days are over. As a working woman — and I’ve been working since the age of 12 — it would be completely unacceptable for me [if I was asked to] give up my career after marriage.”
