Returning as judge of singing reality show, Sunidhi Chauhan on motherhood, maternity break and music

Six months after becoming proud mother to son Tegh, Sunidhi Chauhan is back to her first love — music. The singer can be seen as a judge on the music reality show, Dil Hai Hindustani 2. Though she is glad to be back in the thick of things, the songstress says the maternity break served as a welcome change of pace.

"This was my first genuine break in 34 years of my life. I have been singing and performing since childhood. I enjoyed this phase of not working. I wondered why it got over soon," quips Chauhan. The show's new jury panel consists of music composer Pritam, singer Badshah and her. "The makers wanted to musically upgrade the show. The contestants are not only from India but also abroad; their love for Indian music brings them here."
