After keeping him under wraps for weeks, Karan Johar finally unveiled the new addition to the cast of his fantasy adventure Brahmastra. The filmmaker posted a picture of a smiling Nagarjuna, flanked by director Ayan Mukerji and leading man Ranbir Kapoor, who is playing a superhero, from Bulgaria, sharing that he was honoured and exceptionally excited to have the South star do a “special role” in the film. KJo also shared another picture of Ranbir and his lady love, Alia Bhatt, and Nagarjuna and his better half Amla with Ayan exulting over his love and beautiful energy. The film also features Mouni Roy in a significant role.
This is the second schedule of the film in the picturesque European country and Karan has another ace up his sleeve. Mirror has learnt that Dimple Kapadia will join the unit on location soon
The 61-year-old National Award winning actress’s appearances on screen have been few and far between. In 2014, she was persuaded to join the ensemble cast of Homi Adajania’s satirical road comedy, Finding Fanny, in which she played Deepika Padukone’s mother-in-law, Rosalina ‘Rosie’ Euchaistica. The following year, Dimple turned up in the sequel of Anees Bazmee’s Welcome, playing Poonam aka Maharani Padmavati, who along with her younger partner Babita aka Rajkumari Chandni, played by debutante Ankita Shrivastav, is out to con two Dubai-based criminalsturned-businessmen, Uday Shetty and Majnu Pandey.
The actress will be returning to the screen after three years in Brahmastra. “She will be seen opposite Nagarjuna in the film. It is to Karan’s credit that he could get the nod from Dimple,” adds the source.
