Ever since Ekta Kapoor announced her forthcoming film with Sidharth Malhotra, there have been several speculations about who will be the leading lady. The names of Shraddha Kapoor and Kriti Sanon were doing the rounds for quite some time. But now, we have learnt that Parineeti Chopra has been finalised opposite Sid.

MODALITIES WORKED OUT
The story is based on groom kidnapping and is set in Bihar. Says a source, “The banner wanted a young star for the project and when they approached Parineeti, she liked the script. A few alterations were made to it, following which she signed on the dotted line. All the modalities have been worked out.” The Golmaal Again actress has already finished work on Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s Namaste England and has a few days of shoot left for Akshay Kumar’s Kesari, but that will happen only later this year. Akshay will first zoom off to London to start Housefull 4 and will return to Kesari’s sets only after wrapping up the Sajid Khan comedy.

FILMING STARTS IN JULY
Both Pari and Sid begin filming for Ekta’s movie next month. Our source reveals, “They will shoot in Patna. Like Sidharth, Parineeti, too, has started taking diction classes to get the dialect correct. The duo will be seen in hot desi avatars. The team has finished scouting for locations and the film will go on floors end of July.” The project was tentatively called Shotgun Shaadi, but now, we hear its title might be changed, too.
