TV actor features in Abhishek Varman’s period-drama alongside Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur

TV actor Hiten Tejwani is the newest entrant in Abhishek Varman’s multi-starrer, the period-drama Kalank, which is headlined by Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sonakshi Sinha. Hiten, who was last seen in the Salman Khan-hosted reality show Bigg Boss 11, is to start shooting by the month-end for his portions on the film’s sets in Andheri. A source associated with the film reveals, “Hiten’s character Ahmed shares screen space with Sanjay, Aditya and Alia. He is a trusted employee in a company owned by Sanjay’s character where he also interacts with Aditya and Alia. His portions are expected to wrap up by December.”

Mirror had earlier reported (June 12) that Sonakshi had begun shooting last Wednesday while Sanjay joined the team on Monday. The rest of the cast has been filming since April when the project kicked off. Kalank hits the theatres on April 19 next year.

Hiten has been a part of Vikram Bhatt’s Love Games and Rajiv Ruia’s Saansein, but Kalank is expected to be his big Bollywood break. He has also signed a project with mentor Ekta Kapoor.
