CARRY ON JATTA 2 created history by recording the highest opening day ever for the Punjabi film industry. The film was a sequel to the blockbuster film CARRY ON JATTA and had the same male cast who are all popular artists of the day.

The film is the first film to be in the 3 crore GROSS mark with just four films prior hitting the 2 crore GROSS mark (the final collections could be plus or minus 10 lakhs). The numbers have given a big boost as GST had hit box office numbers and a few big budget films which were not for the mass audience could not meet the expectations of their costs.
