The Punjabi film CARRY ON JATTA 2 has broken all box office records for Punjabi films to become the highest grosser of all time in India with a total of 29 crore after 11 days. It has easily gone past the figure of SARDAARJI which released in 2015.

The NETT collections are not number one yet but will be in a couple of days. The film is still going strong and is sure to go over 35 crore and maybe even close to 40 crore but that depends on what happens when RACE 3 releases. CARRY ON JATTA 2 will also be the first film to hit the 50 crore mark worldwide for a Punjabi film beating the 46 crore of CHAAR SAHIBZAADE (2014).

CARRY ON JATTA 2 has broken all records for the Punjabi film industry with first week collections crossing the 15 crore nett mark and is sure to be the biggest grosser of all times. The GROSS collections of the film are 20 crore plus and this is when no other film has even hit the 15 crore GROSS mark.

The film has held on very strongly post Monday after a big opening and even with the release of JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM, the collections were steady. The Punjabi film industry was stagnating over the last few years with no film being able to get even close to SARDAARJI which released in 2015 but now three years later, CARRY ON JATTA 2 has broken the barrier.

CARRY ON JATTA 2 had a huge hold on Monday as it dropped just 7% on Monday from its Friday business. Its a rare to see a film hold like this from a big opening and the collections in Delhi/UP were actually better than Friday. The collections on Monday were historic as only two films in history have seen collections this high on a Friday.

The film has crossed the business of CARRY ON JATTA in just four days with a 10.25 crore nett plus total across India. The first week should go to around 15-15.50 crore nett and then it could have create history by becoming the highest Punjabi grosser of all time in terms of GROSS and NETT figues.

CARRY ON JATTA 2 is a blockbuster film and the Punjabi film industry has not seen a success of this level for a few years now. The film opened very well and has managed to go up a little also on Saturday especially in Delhi/UP. The collections in East Punjab also managed to show a rise as the collections of the premium multiplexes went up. The film has chances to be the biggest Punjabi film of all time

CARRY ON JATTA 2 created history by recording the highest opening day ever for the Punjabi film industry. The film was a sequel to the blockbuster film CARRY ON JATTA and had the same male cast who are all popular artists of the day.

The film is the first film to be in the 3 crore GROSS mark with just four films prior hitting the 2 crore GROSS mark (the final collections could be plus or minus 10 lakhs). The numbers have given a big boost as GST had hit box office numbers and a few big budget films which were not for the mass audience could not meet the expectations of their costs.

If we take NETT collections it is among the highest with around 2.25 crore nett plus all India but due to tax changes it is the GROSS numbers than have to be compared as they give the correct picture.
